Biographical Info

The pianist Lee Luvisi was a student of Rudolf Serkin and Meiczyslaw Horszowski, and he could have made a major career as an independent artist or based at a highly visible Eastern conservatory. Instead, he returned in 1963 to his hometown of Louisville, Ky., where he became artist in residence at the Louisville School of Music. He also taught every summer at the Aspen Festival.
