Start the new year with a scorching blues performance by Shakura S’Aida and pedal steel guitarist Chuck Campbell! Wherever she performs, Brooklyn-born, Swiss-raised, and Canadian-based blues singer Shakura S’Aida blows listeners away with her vocal style and uncanny ability to deliver powerful original songs. Her warm and welcoming personality, dazzling visual style, and truly remarkable voice takes audiences on a sublime and soulful journey that lingers on, long after the lights have dimmed. S’Aida will be joined on stage by renowned pedal steel guitarist, Chuck Campbell, a member of the American Sacred Steel gospel group The Campbell Brothers.

After the show, join the artists for a TasteMAKER Social featuring a warm sampling of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas and sweets from European Delights Gourmet Bakery. Buy now, availability is limited! Purchase social tickets online here, by phone at 1-877-HIT-SHOW, or at the Box Office.

Weisiger Theatre performances are sponsored by:

Steven Hoffman, Executive Director at the Norton Center for the Arts:

“While Shakura embodies many different cultures, her shows prove that she and her band exude powerhouse blues music. The addition of gospel and blues musician Chuck Campbell simply adds to a concert experience that will be uplifting. This is a show for fans of Weisiger alumni, Henry Butler, the Music Makers Blues Revue, René Marie, and Corey Harris and Eric Bibb.”
