Established in 1956 with the construction of the famous Shanghai Opera House, the Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra has built a repertoire of the world’s most historic masterpieces. The orchestra makes its North American debut with classics from Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, and more, while also playing the works of famous Chinese composers such as Xian Xinghai’s Yellow River and He Zhanhao & Chen Gang’s Butterfly Lover.
