Travis Tritt

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Travis Tritt taught himself the guitar at the age of eight. He spent his wild early years playing in small honky tonk clubs where he was expected to be able to cover everything from Hank Williams to Otis Redding to Lynyrd Skynyrd. He emerged during the early 90s as one of the leading stars of the new generation of country singers. But, Tritt was different. He was the only one not to wear a hat, and the only one to dip into bluesy Southern rock. His unique musical style and brash, gutsy, outlaw image distinguished him from the pack. He made his mark with a string of platinum albums and Top Ten singles, including three number one hits. Today, Tritt has put the excesses of his early life behind him, and he is a devoted husband, doting father of three ... and one of the biggest names on the country music scene.
