Tempesta di Mare
Named for Antonio Vivaldi’s concerto meaning “storm at sea,” Tempesta di Mare has established itself as one of America’s most important original instrument early music ensembles since it played its first concerts a dozen years ago. Hailed by the Philadelphia Inquirer for its “off-the-grid chic factor,” the ensemble’s annual series of concerts in Philadelphia consistently attracts sold-out houses. For its debut performance at the Norton Center, Tempesta di Mare appears in conjunction with the national conference of the American Handel Society, which will be hosted by Centre College.
