K-12 Student Matinee Series
The Norton Center’s K-12 student programming provides fun and engaging learning experiences for young audiences that support standards-based curricular goals while sparking curiosity, building empathy and inspiring tomorrow’s leaders. Live performing arts offer new perspectives and bring curricula to life in powerful and memorable ways.
Important ACTS Information
ACTS tickets are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Educators should plan to order early to ensure their students can take advantage of this opportunity! The ACTS subsidy ONLY covers student tickets. The Norton Center will provide one (1) free adult ticket (chaperone or teacher) for every ten (10) students. Additional adult and parent tickets must be purchased at $20 each. Tickets requested through the ACTS program are equivalent to purchased performance tickets. Once your ACTS order has been confirmed, the tickets are held for your group and are unavailable for purchase by other guests.
Help us connect even more kids to the
power of the arts!
Since 2013, the Norton Center’s ACTS program has provided over 10,000 free or deeply discounted student matinee tickets to Kentucky students, ensuring area youth have the opportunity to explore and engage in high-caliber, professional arts experiences regardless of their financial resources. Participating in engaging arts activities provides children rich experiences that have both short and long-term impact, including the development of leadership, problem-solving and personal communication skills, along with an awareness of cultural identity and global coexistence. These opportunities are only possible through the generous financial support of individual donors, corporate sponsors and foundation grants.
Please consider giving a tax-deductible gift to the Norton Center ACTS program!
