Blurring the lines between circus show, contemporary dance and performance art, N.Ormes invites audiences to question preconceived ideas. In this physically impressive and touching creation, duo Agathe Bisserier and Adrien Malette-Chénier push the limits and expectations of their own bodies and gender norms.   Recent graduates of the famed Circus School of Québec, Agathe and Adrien have developed a unique, highly physical circus and dance vocabulary. The duo has worked with the renowned Cirque Éloize and y Giners companies on European tours and circus festivals around the world.

An ambassador for the accordion, Hanzhi Wang has been praised for her captivating stage presence and performances of passion and finesse. Wang will guide students through an exploration of the accordion, delving into its mechanics, its role as a classical instrument and how melodies resonate uniquely through it as opposed to other classical instruments. In this unique program, Wang will feature a variety of composers and music and take us into the “fairy-tale world of the accordion” with works that explore the darkness and luminosity of Hans Christian Andersen’s famous stories.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Luedji Luna has become one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Brazilian music. A Brazilian music sensation, Luedji dives into her ancestry and brings powerful messages of resistance, beliefs, depth and love through her art. In this performance, Luna will share her music of Brazil and its people, exploring sounds like neo-soul, R&B, jazz and reggae.

Brandee Younger is a classically trained harpist who infuses classical, jazz, soul and funk influences into her music. This program will allow students to explore the harp, bass and drums to show how they create incredible music together in acoustic and electric styles.
